What does it mean to be a kid at heart?
Reflecting on my childhood, I recall how my mother used to give me old car tires. I would insert sticks into them and push or ride them around. To make the ride more thrilling, I’d apply soap or banana peels to increase the slipperiness, mimicking a high-powered vehicle.
I was an outdoor kid, often talking to myself and crafting my own imaginative worlds. While I didn’t have many toys like other kids, I found joy in my imagination and created my own playmates. Listening to my Walkman during morning chores was a delight.
Throughout the years, that imaginative child has always remained within me.
This kid was filled with curiosity, often attempting to fix broken items in the garage, even without knowing how they originally worked. This inquisitiveness has honed my problem-solving abilities.
I found amusement even in overdue tasks. My Walkman served as an escape when chores seemed endless, providing a stress-free sanctuary. Today, I still use headphones to navigate challenges while trying to improve someone’s life.
Embracing being a kid at heart enhances your creativity and ability to solve problems, allowing you to find joy even in stressful situations. It fosters camaraderie within a team that shares this kid mindset, enabling you to understand each other’s humour and create unique communication styles.
